INIS ecologists were conducting an otter survey in Co. Cork this week. During the survey, they came across an area of deciduous woodland with patches of Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa) . Wood Anemone is a woodland plant and flowers from March to May, flowering before the leaves of the trees develop to optimise light absorption. It is a member of the buttercup family of flowering plants.
